We need to perform a system copy from old QA system to our new QA system which is a MSCS High-Availability setup on Win2008/MSSQL2008. We have performed plenty of system copies using backup/restore method when the QA system was non-HA, but I am guessing that the precedure is somewhat different when the database is restored to a MSCS environment.
I know I need to either restore a backup, or perform a detach/attach procedure (db independent method is too time consuming). The main question is what do I do after this is done? Do I run sapinst, and select the system copy options presented in sapinst? In that case, is it sufficient to only run the database instance installation option - or do I have to run the complete MSCS installation process again (ASCS, First MSCS node, Database instance, Second MSCS node, ERS, CI and DI)? Another alternativ is running the CI and DI installations only...
Can anyone shed some light on this issue?
